Museu Nacional d'Art Catalunya

The quite austere looking Palau Nacional was built in 1929 for the World's Fair / International Exhibition.  If I read things correctly,  Museu Nacional d'Art Catalunya (MNAC) has been housed in Palau Nacional since 1990, in anticipation of the Barcelona Olympic games in 1992.  MNAC began decades earlier in 1934, but its place today appears to date from 1990.

What a joy to get to be at MNAC today!  Absolutely stunning vistas of the whole city are to be seen from the front steps, as well.
