Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar and La Placa de Santa Maria

I was not able to enter the Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar, which was very disappointing.  It is the only example of a church which is completely in the Catalan Gothic style.  It took only 55 years to build in the Middle Ages -- very speedy!

The Square of St. Mary (La Placa de Santa Maria) is very lovely.  Carrer d'en Rosic is in this neighbourhood.
